Horizons' new sober living property is conveniently located in the south end of Nanaimo in close proximity to our Wakesiah location. As we are close to various 12-step meetings, it is easy for our residents to stay engaged in their recovery community. This property is also walking distance to the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre, which provides our residents with easy access to fitness and recreational activities. Additionally, as this home has a lovely large yard, our residents are able to participate and enjoy group activities such as picnics and BBQ hangouts! Our Fifth Street location also has 2 additional living quarters that increase opportunities for more independence for residents who are further along in their recovery journey.

House Rules

Mandatory curfew (curfew checks completed every night)
Sunday house meetings are mandatory (unless approved by house manager)
Daily reflection & meditation (except weekends)
Must attend five meetings per week (three if employed)
Must have a sponsor within 30 days of residency
Weekly chore rotation: each house member is responsible for cleaning up their own dishes, and rooms
Illegal, violent, or dangerous acts of behavior will result in lease termination
No visitors to stay overnight (visitors will require approval from house manager)
